Kiko Salomão + Tanaka Architects introduces Casa CCB, a three-building residence situated in Fazenda Boa Vista, Brazil. The house adapts to an 11-meter elevation difference with a concrete base that unifies the blocks on a single level, offering valley views. The design harmonizes rustic charm with contemporary elements through large glass openings and gable roofs, which incorporate occasional openings that allow for internal gardens. The two main blocks of the residence are barns, clad in long bricks in four shades of gray. The central Social Barn features an entrance hall, living room, and home theater, while the Intimate Barn houses the master suite, guest suites, and additional family suites. An outdoor patio connects these barns to a service block at the rear, which includes a garage, gourmet area, gym, and spa. The architects’ interior design, including bespoke furniture, ensures a cohesive and harmonious living environment.
The use of generous glass frames throughout Casa CCB by Kiko Salomão + Tanaka Architects ensures abundant natural light and picturesque views. The Social Barn, measuring 37m x 9m, includes internal gardens, enhancing the indoor-outdoor connection. The Intimate Barn, at 25m x 9m, provides a more private living area and four additional family suites on the lower floor. Between the two barns, the outdoor patio with a fireplace and infinity pool creates a tranquil and inviting space for relaxation and socializing. The service block, measuring 80m x 8m, runs parallel to the boundary wall and houses essential utilities, a gym, spa, massage room, sauna, and party room on the lower floor. This third block, featuring a flat roof and clad in perforated mini wave sheets, introduces a visually striking element to the overall structure by the Brazil-based architects. Rodrigo Oliveira’s landscaping design enhances the property with a variety of plant species, creating smooth transitions between spaces.
